Nigeria
Securing the future of Africa by creating opportunities for every child in Africa to receive an education and realize their dreams.
Nigeria, Africa’s largest economy, has the highest number of out-of-school children and street children in the world at over 10 million, despite the fact that primary education is compulsory.
The goal of Back2School Africa is to reach out to as many children as possible. Little by little, we are working to save Africa with the power of a weapon called education.
To return 20% of African children who were forced to drop out of school for economic reasons back to school within 5 years.
Nigeria is one of the largest economies in Africa, accounting for one-fourth of the African economy

Chukwuma Anklin Amadi is the founder of the nonprofit Back2School Africa Initiative, which has helped more than 2,000 disadvantaged children gain access to education and supply school materials.

Having lost his father at an early age, Chukwuma had a very difficult time getting a primary, secondary, and university education. However, thanks to the enthusiastic support of his mother and a non-profit organization, he was able to earn a scholarship to attend school. This experience has given him a strong passion to help other young people in similar situations.
He is currently studying for a Master’s degree in International Business Administration at the Berlin School of Business and Innovation in Berlin, Germany. His social impact actions have won him awards in Nigeria and abroad, and he is committed to creating a world where every child in Africa has access to education and can achieve their goals.
Before founding Back2School Africa in 2018, Chukwuma was a teacher in a government high school at Army Day Secondary School in Calabar, Nigeria. During this time, he was amazed at the number of children who were dropping out of school because their parents could not afford the tuition.
What caught his attention the most was a brilliant girl named Endurance. She was the highest achiever in her class, but was forced to drop out of school and get married because her widowed mother could not pay her school fees.
When Chukwuma learned of her situation, he used his own salary to pay for Endurance’s tuition and buy materials until she graduated from high school.
The story spread throughout the school, and when other children with similar problems came to him for help, he helped them.
News of his actions spread throughout the Calabar community and more and more children and families began to come to him for help, but his salary did not allow him to afford to help all the children.
Later, he started posting his activities on social media, and many people loved and supported his work. Over time, more and more people loved his work to help children get an education, and the Back to School Africa Initiative was born. Today, more than 2,000 children have benefited from this organization.
This is Promise who is 10 years old. (Left photo. With the founder) They found Promise in Alaromi, a slum in Nigeria, during an event to introduce their activities to the community.
Promise is a very bright child who wanted to go to school, but due to her parents’ financial problems, she dropped out of school in the third grade and had no other choice but to work with her mother on a farm.
A turning point for her was her participation in the “Protecting the Future Project” by Back2SchoolAfrica. Promise and 62 other children were selected to participate in the project. Promise, now in the fifth grade, was the top student in her class.
She wants to become a doctor, and Back2SchoolAfrica is supporting her and the other children with scholarships up to the university level.
Back2SchoolAfrica is very proud to be a part of Promise’s success story.
Provide educational materials to 400 children in 8 communities across the country.
We are raising enough funds to provide books, bags, hand sanitizers, uniforms, writing materials, etc. We are starting with a community in Lagos State and gradually expanding our support to other states.
These funds will be provided by Airfunding and other crowdfunding and donations.
The project aims to break the cycle of poverty for children living in underserved communities in Lagos State, Nigeria.
In the future, our goal is to make every community in Nigeria as self-sufficient as possible with a high quality of life.
