Join the Sustainable Revolution of Gea Ecology

We have all heard about climate change and the drastic consequences it has had on our planet. Agriculture, vital both in Latin America and in the rest of the world, is one of the most affected. However, those who really feel these effects every day are the peasants and farmers who depend on the land to live.

We face enormous challenges at a social, environmental, economic and technological level. . How can we offer solutions that address these critical aspects? This is where our project, Gea Ecology, comes into play, designed to offer alternatives and solutions to these challenges.

It all started with a problem very close to me and my family. I come from a family of farmers and I know the difficulties of selling or transporting products to the market. The obstacles are many: inadequate roads, high input prices, and the long chain of intermediaries that make products more expensive in the cities, leaving the farmer with less than 20% of the final value. And the worst, after months or even years of work for a harvest. This economic reality, added to the lack of access to alternative technologies and food waste, not to mention the damage of agrochemicals to human health and biodiversity, prompted me to seek a solution.

More than 4 years ago Gea Ecology was born with a clear mission: to offer simple solutions to complex challenges, generating a significant impact in Colombia and Latin America; Our vision is built on four essential pillars: at an economic, social, environmental and technological level, comprehensively facing the challenges that today's world presents to us.

From the economic point of view , we strive to establish a system in which farmers can obtain a fair price for their products, eliminating unnecessary intermediaries and thus improving the economic conditions of rural families. By creating a marketplace or digital platform focused on the green sector and sustainability, we allow anyone with internet access to create their own online store and offer ecological products or services. This not only offers a sustainable consumption alternative for everyone but also encourages a transition towards more environmentally friendly options.

In the Social Aspect, our goal is to promote active participation of the community, raising awareness and motivating a change towards more sustainable practices. Through our platform, we seek to connect entrepreneurs and farmers, establishing a connectivity space where strategic and economic alliances are formalized between entrepreneurs, businesses and the general public. Thus, we encourage social and educational involvement, offering educational information and sustainable practices that facilitate the adoption of more sustainable habits from home.

From the Environmental point of view, we are committed to raising awareness about the impacts of climate change and how our consumer choices affect the planet. We support and promote agricultural practices that protect and restore the environment, making our actions contribute positively to the health of the planet.

From a Technological Perspective, we have developed this digital e-commerce platform or ecological marketplace, which not only facilitates access to ecological products and services but also acts as a space to share knowledge and solutions to environmental problems. Our project focuses on creating an information network that addresses environmental and technological challenges, facilitating collaboration and the exchange of ideas to address these challenges effectively.
